Story in a few words

Django Unchained" is a bold, genre-blending film by Quentin Tarantino that mixes Western, drama, and revenge-thriller elements. Set in the American South just a few years before the Civil War, the story centers on Django, a slave who is unexpectedly freed by Dr. King Schultz, a clever and eccentric bounty hunter posing as a traveling dentist. Schultz needs Django’s help to identify a group of outlaws, but their partnership quickly evolves into a deeper alliance.
As Django proves himself capable and determined, Schultz trains him in the art of bounty hunting. However, Django's true goal is more personal — he is on a quest to rescue his wife, who was cruelly separated from him and sold to a notorious plantation owner. The journey takes them through dangerous territory, both literal and moral, as they face the brutal realities of slavery, power, and complicity.
Stylized with sharp dialogue, dramatic violence, and moments of unexpected humor, Django Unchained is both a gritty adventure and a sharp critique of America's history of slavery — all delivered with Tarantino’s signature cinematic flair.

In my own words

This Film is my most favorite one when it comes to History i think because Tarantino managet to make Film about Americas slavery story in a very good way and really showed how it was back then. The overall screenplay and script is really good and made the whole film enjoyable to watch and learn also a little bit about those years back then.

If i would describe the film in one word: Epic. Its really well made because of the score and cinematography. Overall since Tarantino started working with Cinematographer
Robert Richardson the cinematography in all recent films is just great.Even if it's serious thematic about slavery Tarantino still showed a good side about how a slave became a hero and inspired a lot of people.

When it comes to acting performance my most favorite character was the one of DiCaprio. He played the character that even the other actors and Quentin didn't recognize him at all. In one scene where all sit together and having dinner at Monsieurs Candy property he really gets angry and threatens to kill them. He really got angry and smashed the table and broke a glass. Couple seconds later blood starts pouring out of his hand. He continued being in his character.
This was the moment where i got litterally shocked and didn't recognize Leo anymore.
Later in a interview Tarantino explained the scene in a funny way and mentioned that when that happend he looked real quick out of the camera and checked if everything was fine and said: Don't stop. Thats just class acting.

In general this film is for everyone to learn more about American History but also to see a full action packed film where the slave becomes a hero.

And also the amount of blood in this film is just epic. I think this film just sits behind Kill Bill 1 with the amount of fake blood used in one single film.

What i also found cool that Tarantino used a few references from other films for instance the timeless quick zoom shot from Sergio Leone's The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Or also a little appearance from the actor from the original Django film. Last but not least the beautiful scenes of the landscape from the world of Django Unchained where just enjoyable to watch and where good pauses between the violence.

What else to say than grab some popcorn and just watch this absolute class film from Tarantino.
